How to use Social media to get more network marketing leads
Paid marketing in the network marketing world in very hard to accomplish because the whole industry is excluded from being allowed to advertise.
There is a very good reason for this and it is because there are too many people advertising the same thing and if we are really honest, most people do not make nearly as much money as they think they will, when they join a network marketing company.
However, that does not mean that it can't be done.
However, that does not mean that it can't be done.
You absolutely can do paid advertising, just not directly to your network marketing company's replicated website. Here are some tips for attracting high quality prospects into your company through paid ads on the largest ad networks in the world, Facebook and Google.
Tip 1. Brand yourself not your network marketing opportunity
When you join network marketing company the first thing you are told is to create a list of your friends and family and invite each of them to take a look at the company. You may think that you can just post your link on social media and you will get some sales. Honestly, that will never work so please, do not do it.
Posting all over your page will only make your friends avoid you.
In the book, Magnetic Marketing by Mike Dillard he talks about how to become alpha and how to become attractive to your target market. To become alpha you need to be valuable to whomever you want to attract. This means you need skills that you can teach other people or you need to be able to direct them to the right resources.
Let's assume you are in a fitness network marketing company.
You could go onto Facebook and say "Hey, I just joined a new company check out my new weight loss products and join my team." You might get 1 or 2 people to buy your products if you are in great shape.
If you are not in shape no one is going to listen to you, sorry to be so blunt but the fact is no one listens to people with no results, no matter how much knowledge they acquire on the subject. You have to lead the way.
A better way is to brand yourself by getting results and sharing the results on Facebook or whatever social media site you prefer. This will begin to position you as a leader and not someone who is just trying to sell stuff.
Do you have to be in great shape in order to sell a weight loss product? Absolutely not.
How can it be done?
Document your journey.
People don't need you to have the results already but they do want you to be leading the way!
Tip 2: Determine Who Your Target Market Is
When you market to everyone you market to no one! I first heard this quote from my friend Aaron Rashkin.
Does that mean you shouldn't sell your product to everyone? Nope, you can sell it to everyone, but your marketing should be pin point targeted on the exact right person you want to join your business.
So for example, if you are selling an acne cream, why would you want to attempt to sell it to people with no acne problems?
But if you write a well timed message about making the zits go away, in time for high school prom and can demonstrate it working in front of a bunch of high school girl's mothers, now you have sales coming out your ears!
The right message, at the right time for the right person is what marketing is all about. Determine who you can best serve then go serve them whether they buy anything from you or not.
Tip 3: Get In Front Of Your Target Audience
After you figure out who you can best serve you need to get your product in front of them. Here is the problem. No one wants to see it. No one wants you to promote to them and no one wants to let you promote to the people thye have spent all their time assembling into an audience.
When people do that they get labeled "spammer"
So we need to do better by being more subtle.
Helping people with their problems without selling anything to them is the idea way to build an audience because once you help with one problem it makes sense they will come to you for their next problem.
So instead of blatant product promotion start helping people with free advice and help in communities where a large group of people who can benefit from your products hang out.
